                          WEDDING MITTENS FOR MISS JAIMIE

I made these mittens out of an old wool shirt. I appliqued on the white trim from some scraps that had once been an Indian wool blouse. The cute pink buttons came from the $1.00 button bin at the Pendleton factory scrap store in Oregon. The mittens are lined with soft flannel. I love them and I hope Jaimie does too.

 THE HEARTHROB SERIES

Original design by Levi Greenacres

Inspired by classic heart tattoos, our first knit project from one of Levi’s hand drawn pattern was the E+D heart. Once I got that patch successfully completed we began to develop other pattern ideas along the same theme. I designed and knit two similar heart patches, the S+J and the S+L. creating these two relatively small patterns was a lot of work. During this time I had to really curb my perfectionist desires. Even though I tried to let go of my idea of the “perfect” pattern, I ended up starting and re-starting both of these deigns a number of times.
